Finally some sap flow, this is a fairly slow flow rate on good days the sap will almost form a continuous stream, but I’ll take it.

We are installing several test taps to monitor when the sap starts flowing, at which time mroe taps will be installed.

Step 1: Select tap location, good spots include under a branchs. Prefereably into healthy looking bark, on the side of the tree that recieves the most sunshine.

Step 2: Drill a 19/64" hole at a slight upward angle, approximatly 2" deep.
